Healthy Weight Chart

Are you over or under weight? The simplest answer for that is by using the Healthy Weight Chart, or often known as the Body Mass Index (BMI) Chart. With the help of the BMI chart you can easily determine whether your weight is above or below the healthy range.

In case you are within the normal range, then it means you are eating the correct amount of food and keeping your weight to the desirable level. However, in case you are an obese then you must try to cut down the amount of food specially which are rich in fats and sugars. Being obese can contribute to high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. It makes you worry a lot and decreases your self-confidence that in turn confines you in a stressful situation. Thus, it is important to maintain an ideal weight to avoid the complications and problems brought about by being obese or overweight.

The chart below shows height and weight levels for both women and men.

Note: 1 kg = 2.204 lbs

To use this chart, basically you just need to find your height and look at the corresponding weight range. If you are within the stated weight range, you are at your good range level. So, if you are a man, 183 cm (6 feet) tall, your healthy level should be, 62 to 83 kg (136 to 183 pounds).

However, it is important to note that the weight chart above is not a direct measure of body fat. The lines in the chart are basically produced from Body Mass Index (BMI) Calculation. If you have questions or doubts about your weight and its influence on your health, then of course the best person you can ask is your health professional.
